Nobody is playing a new Sly Cooper game, so there’s no good in the world 1v6g29
Look. Sucker Punch is working on a Ghost of Tsushima sequel. They are busy, and that’s okay. It doesn’t matter to me. They can do what they want. Sony, nine years have ed since Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time and you still refuse to let anyone create a new game in this series. Or Infamous. The former is less of a concern because the series did not end with a decade-long cliffhanger. Sony has now left its beloved PlayStation 2 mascot in Egypt, and Sucker Punch, the original developer, has confirmed that it will remain there. 2529v
Sucker Punch posted on its website to confirm that it does not plan to revisit its platformer or open-world superhero series and that Sony has not permitted any other studios to create a game using either IP.
This whole thing was initiated by the company to update Infamous’-generated content servers. They will be under maintenance, but Sucker Punch will continue to them. The studio plans to make Cole’s Legacy DLC Infamous 2: Second Son more widely available.
None of this amounts to a new series. While I do wear a Second Sonbeanie about 80% of the day, I am quite content to leave that series behind right now. Sly Cooper has been on the cliffhanger for almost a decade. Sanzaru Games, which developed Thieves In Time and had plans, was not given the go-ahead to fix its ending. The DLC would have taken the series’ protagonist, a thieving raccoon, on a time-traveling adventure through ancient Egypt. It was planned to be released by the team. But Sony said “nah.”
